About

We are a wife-and-wife doula team working with families since 2014. Here to support you through your pregnancy, labor, and postpartum experience!

Supporting families with diverse backgrounds and values since 2014, we love offering personalized care for each client. We tailor our work to help meet our clients’ individual needs – from birth preparation classes, to doula support for labor and birth, to in-home support and care during the newborn/postpartum period. We believe EVERYONE deserves compassionate, inclusive, trauma-informed, non-judgmental support and advocacy during the perinatal time! We have particular specialties in supporting: 1) People who are members of oppressed groups who want to have a pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience where they feel seen, heard, comfortable, and safe. 2) People giving birth in a hospital who still want to have a more holistic, whole-person experience (whether or not pain medication is planned or used). 3) Parents who have experienced a long or challenging fertility journey (including pregnancy loss, infertility, assisted reproductive technology, surrogacy, and more). 4) People experiencing medically complicated pregnancies We are trained doulas (like a birthing coach) and have taken extensive continuing education courses since beginning our practice in 2014. We have a special interest in supporting members of oppressed groups including Black, Indigenous, and People of Color and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Whether you’re looking for labor support, wishing you could turn to someone kind and experienced with questions about your baby in those early newborn weeks, or searching for an inclusive and compassionate birth preparation class, we’re here to help! We believe that pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum and newborn time are unique journeys for each person and each family. Our approach is flexible and nuanced, never rigid or black-and-white. We offer nonjudgmental support to each person we work with, offering a safe space to experience and express the full range of emotions that this time of life can bring. Having stable, skilled support during a time of so many unknowns and transitions can help you have the most positive experience possible. We honor your transition into parenthood as a rite of passage, not just as a series of medical events. If you’re seeking experienced, compassionate, trauma-informed support along your way, we’d love to work with you.
